- Partner with the Clinical Director II, regional leadership, safety, risk, compliance, and education teams to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
- Support compliance with Air Methods standards, CAMTS accreditation requirements, and all applicable local, state, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in identifying operational and clinical improvement opportunities and help implement best practices across assigned bases.
- Ensure efficient progression of clinical team members through onboarding and rider qualification processes.
- Monitor clinical performance trends through chart reviews, documentation audits, and reported events.
- Identify potential clinical risks, recurring issues, or opportunities for improvement and collaborate on corrective actions.
- Support Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives, including clinical data analysis, dashboard review, and performance monitoring.
- Participate in clinical investigations, remediation efforts, and follow-up action plans as directed.
- Escalate significant clinical concerns to the Clinical Director II and appropriate stakeholders.
- Facilitate Medical Director engagement in clinical review processes as needed.
- Serve as a liaison for communicating clinical concerns, performance trends, and quality initiatives.
- Assist in preparing assigned bases for CAMTS accreditation and re-accreditation activities.
- Support ongoing compliance with organizational, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to Clinical Base Leads to support operational and clinical success.
- Contribute to clinical hiring activities, including candidate screening, scenario-based assessments, and interview participation.
- Provide performance-related feedback and recommendations to Area Managers for annual evaluations and development planning.
- Collaborate with education and leadership teams to support teammate growth and clinical competency.
- Oversee medical supply utilization and expenditures for assigned bases to support cost-effective operations.
- Assist in ensuring all clinical licenses, certifications, and credentials remain current and properly documented.
- Support billing, operational, and regulatory compliance requirements through accurate credential management.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Travel as required to support assigned bases, training activities, audits, and operational needs.
- Comply with all Air Methods policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility; however, it provides leadership, mentorship, and guidance to Clinical Base Leads and clinical team members across assigned locations.

Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Management, Nursing, EMS, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing or Paramedic program.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in critical care, emergency nursing, or EMS.
- Previous flight nurse or flight paramedic experience required; critical care ground transport experience may be considered.
- Prior leadership or management experience within an air medical or transport program preferred.
- Current specialty certification required:
- Nurses: CFRN, CCRN, CEN, or CTRN
- Paramedics: FP-C or CC-P
- CFRN or FP-C certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of clinical operations and the ability to balance operational priorities with financial stewardship.
- Proven ability to advocate for patients, teammates, and high standards of clinical care.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- Sound decision-making and critical thinking skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Current RN or Paramedic license in the applicable state(s) of practice.
- Current certifications in:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Approved Air Medical Trauma Credential
- Current specialty certification as applicable to discipline:
- Nurses: CFRN, CCRN, CEN, or CTRN
- Paramedics: FP-C or CC-P
