Summary:

Cook Children's is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to provide complex pediatric care to children of our Specialty Clinics. We are seeking a Dietitian with either strong pediatric nutrition experience (or) previous experience working with individuals with developmental delays as this role with primarily work with children with Cerebral Palsy. The Clinical Dietitian will develop, implement, and monitor individualized medical nutrition therapy plans to support the patient's growth, healing, and quality of life. Will apply technical knowledge and skills depending on the severity and complexity of the case and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to ensure optimal nutritional outcomes on routine matters, provides patient and caregiver education, and contributes to evidenced-based practice initiatives. The Dietitian will provide evidence-based nutrition care to pediatric patients and families across both inpatient and/or outpatient settings.

Hours: Mon- Fri 8am-5pm | Dodson Specialty Clinics

Can work 1 day from home after 3-4 months of training is complete.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required.
• Note: Effective January 1, 2024, all newly hired Registered Dietitians must meet the national requirement of holding a master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field to be eligible for credentialing and employment.
• Strong Pediatric experience (can be during internship) or experience working with adults or children with developmental delays.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:

• RD/RDN (Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist) credential issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Texas.
• CPR certification.

Grandfather Clause:

Employees hired or credentialed as Registered Dietitians prior to January 1, 2024 are grandfathered under the previous bachelor’s degree requirement and remain eligible to continued employment in this role with active registration and state licensure in good standing.
