As a Lead Data Manager at ICON, you will drive data science initiatives within clinical trials, ensuring that our analyses provide meaningful insights that inform strategic decisions.
What You Will Do:
You will manage day-to-day clinical data science activities, supporting your team to deliver quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Good knowledge of clinical data science activities (Data review, risk management & analytics, clinical systems).
- Working knowledge of project management, including the predictive elements of timelines, resource requirements and financial tracking.
- Business Expertise:
- Understanding of protocol content and interpretation of critical data and data review requirements
- Ability to react and adapt requirements, processes and timelines in an agile manner.
- Tracks and keeps functional management and those responsible for project management informed of any issues that might affect project target dates, scope or budget and escalates potential problems effectively and in a timely manner.
- Works independently and with other project leads, as needed, to negotiate timelines and key deliverables with clients and/or external customers, vendors and departments.
- Understand project level revenue recognition/forecasting process and provides input regarding actual and forecasts units/hrs (revenue and resources) to the CDS PM.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as required
- Travel (approximately 15%) domestic and/or international.
- Leadership:
- Functional Team Lead and primary point of contact for internal and external project team for CDS.

You will have solid clinical data science experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, computer science, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in data analysis and project leadership within a clinical research setting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on translating data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams.
