We are currently seeking a Clinical Data Configuration Engineer to join our diverse and dynamic team to drive the ingestion and configuration of clinical trial data, working with SDTM structures, SQL, and cutting-edge tools like CDB/Illuminate. In this role, you’ll independently lead data workflows, collaborate closely with Data Engineering (Airflow, AWS, Databricks), and partner with key stakeholders across projects. If you bring clinical data experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for structured data, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a high-visibility environment.
What You Will Be Doing:
• Ingesting clinical trial data using tools like CDB/Elluminate
• Managing data imports/exports, JSON manifests, and data mappings
• Working with SDTM structures (understanding, not programming)
• Supporting data configuration and ingestion workflows
• Collaborating with the Data Engineering team (who manage Airflow, AWS, Databricks)
Your Profile:
• 5 years of work experience
• SQL (must-have basic level SQL programming experience)
• Clinical Data experience (coming from a Data Management background would be useful)
• Understanding of SDTM structure
• Knowledge of EDC builds/forms (not development focused)
• Ability to understand data models and mappings
• Strong communication
• Project management skills (Will be working on independent projects)
Nice to Have:
• Experience/Understanding of CDB/Illuminate – Internal training will be provided for Illuminate/CDB and other tools
• Technical/programming aptitude
• Medidata Rave/ALS understanding/experience
• Medidata Repository (MDR) understanding/experience
• Automation/Airflow/AWS/Databricks exposure would be useful (These are handled within the Data Engineering team, therefore not a necessity)
• Python – opportunity to make minor tweaks to existing Python codes for folks with experience
