Provision of psychosocial intervention to the beneficiaries
• Provide individual (face-to-face and online) and group therapy to beneficiaries of care through approved service delivery platforms.
• Facilitate therapeutic and support groups both in-person and via virtual platforms to improve accessibility and reach.
• Design and deliver prevention and health promotion programmes, including but not limited to:
• Stress management
• Assertiveness and conflict management

• Exam/test anxiety management
• Provide and supervise structured dialogues and engagements on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and mental health through both in-person and online platforms.
• Deliver psycho-education on mental health and GBV to beneficiaries of care using blended approaches (face-to-face, virtual sessions, and digital platforms).
• Support crisis management through participation in and/or oversight of call centre services, including telephonic and online counselling for individuals in distress.
• Facilitate timely response to mental health crises through telephonic support, virtual consultations, and referral pathways where necessary.
• Coordinate and distribute Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to promote awareness, demand creation, and community engagement, including digital dissemination through online channels.
Support capacity-building initiatives within the organization
• Provide training to healthcare workers (CCC and CCWs) and Registered counsellors in line with the approved training plan and/or identified capacity-building needs.
• Participate in seminars, workshops, and conferences as part of continuous professional development and to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Contribute to content development by participating in radio interviews and related media engagements, including initiatives such as being featured in radio stations approved by the Senior Psychologist and DOP
• Support the development of communication materials by contributing relevant content and articles for newsletters and other publications.
Stakeholder management and engagement
• Participate in stakeholder meetings and engagements to strengthen collaboration and alignment with programme objectives.
• Provide regular, accurate reports and feedback to stakeholders in line with organisational policies, standards, and reporting requirements.
• Maintain effective communication and relationships with key stakeholders to support service delivery and programme sustainability.
• Ensure timely escalation of key issues, risks, and service gaps to relevant stakeholders where necessary.
Strategic management and leadership
• Attend Psychosocial support and Provincial meetings to provide updates, share insights, and contribute to continuous improvement of programme implementation.
• Supervise and support allocated teams and individuals, ensuring adherence to clinical standards, performance expectations, and professional development
• Participate in forums, committees, and working groups as delegated, representing the programme where required.
• Monitor service delivery and escalate challenges, risks, or gaps to relevant management structures in a timely manner.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
• Collect, analyse, and submit accurate monthly data and reports in the prescribed format, ensuring compliance with organisational requirements and timelines.
• Monitor programme performance and service delivery (including face-to-face, online, and call centre services) to inform continuous improvement.
• Provide timely feedback on trends, outcomes, and challenges to support decision-making and programme strengthening.
RequirementsQualification
• Bachelor Degree in Psychology
• Postgraduate qualification in Psychology
• Current Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical Psychologist.
Experience
• At least 1-2 experience working as a psychologist post registration.
• Management experience is an added advantage.
• Advanced computer literacy, including MS Excel and Pastel
• Valid driver’s license
