Job Summary:

The Clinical Coordinator (CC) coordinates and supervises daily clinical practices (to include the Medical Assistants) in the practice. The CC will be responsible for the evaluation and remediation of staff, financial management, the development practice standards, managing supplies and inventory, and will continually assess the quality of care and patient outcomes in response to the patient care provided.

Training and continued education for the clinical staff is a critical component of this role. The CC will also be involved with direct patient care, in addition to ensuring that all clinical inboxes (prior authorizations, referrals, refills, etc.) are current for all staff and providers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes the nursing process to deliver proper care to assigned patients.
  • Collaborates with the assigned providers and other health care team members in developing and implementing care plans.
  • Educates patients regarding procedures and interventions.
  • Evaluates clinical staff's performance of their job duties.
  • Participates in the hiring, training, disciplining, and supervision of staff.
  • Provides supervision/direction to clinical staff in planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.
  • Serves as a resource for problem solving and as a role model/mentor to other team members.
  • Collaborates on development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care and practice.
  • Supports, facilitates, and participates in quality improvement activities.
  • Greets patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner.
  • Reviews all intake information in Phreesia for accuracy and completion.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area in the exam rooms and all patient care areas.
  • Conducts self in accordance with the employee handbook and other company policies.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
  • Inventories and requisitions all clinical supplies.
  • Performs data entry, recording, storing, and maintaining of information in written form or in the EHS.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the providers and all company staff.
  • Has flexibility to work at other Complete Health locations; has flexibility to work anytime during clinic business hours.
  • This role is responsible for assisting patients with mobility and transport needs within the clinical setting. Duties include helping patients in and out of wheelchairs or exam tables, escorting or transporting patients to various areas, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. This role is expected to monitor patients during transport for signs of distress, maintain the cleanliness of transport equipment, and provide emotional support when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Preferred Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN)license in the state of practice.
  • Must be a caring and compassionate person able to put patients at ease using excellent communication skills.  
  • Computer proficiency isrequiredand software such as EHS, Word, Excel and otherprogramare strongly preferred.  
  • Must be able to read and write legibly and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods. It involves a full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients and equipment. This role must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds and assist in moving patients weighing up to 300 pounds. The role also includes regular exposure to bodily fluids and demands of adherence to strict safety and hygiene protocols.

Skills Required
