Job Description

As a Clinical Coordination Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining high-quality clinical and field experience opportunities for students. Working closely with academic leaders, healthcare partners, faculty, and students, you'll help ensure every learner has access to meaningful, evidence-based clinical placements while building strong relationships throughout the healthcare community.

This role reports to the Manager, Clinical Relations and partners closely with campus and program leadership in a collaborative, matrixed environment.

What You'll Do

Clinical Partnership Management

  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with healthcare agencies and clinical partners.
  • Identify and secure new clinical placement opportunities that support student learning and program growth.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison between Chamberlain University and partner organizations.
  • Attend industry events, consortium meetings, partner summits, and community engagement activities to strengthen partnerships.

Clinical Placement & Student Support

  • Coordinate student clinical and field experience placements to ensure an exceptional learning experience.
  • Monitor placement capacity and proactively secure sufficient clinical inventory to meet student needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and clinical partners regarding placement-related questions and concerns.
  • Support the student experience through timely, proactive, and service-focused communication.

Contract & Compliance Oversight

  • Manage clinical affiliation agreements, including development, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
  • Obtain required signatures and ensure agreements remain current and compliant.
  • Monitor university and partner-specific compliance requirements.
  • Ensure site evaluations and other required documentation are completed accurately and on schedule.

Data Management & Operations

  • Maintain accurate records and real-time updates within university systems and partner databases.
  • Prepare reports and extract data to support decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Track clinical inventory, placement activity, and partnership outcomes to support national reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, relationship management, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Healthcare industry experience or knowledge preferred.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $70,000 Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
