WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Fors Marsh is seeking a Climate Resilience Stakeholder and Executive Communications Account Supervisor to support 2 critical workstreams for a directorate within FEMA—industry stakeholder engagements and executive communications. This individual will build key message frameworks for a range of FEMA Resilience programs, ensuring that policy and regulatory changes, program directives and new resources are shared effectively with state, local, tribal and territorial governments, industry partners and other federal agencies through thoughtful and targeted engagements. This individual will oversee conference strategy, including the development of talking points and session outlines for FEMA’s Senior Executives. This individual will bring not only communications savvy but also disaster resilience insights, and will work with experts in internal communications and program strategy to drive organizational change.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver industry and executive communications support to a FEMA program office.
  • Work with federal counterpart to optimize communications protocols and coordinate internal and external stakeholder convenings to enhance disaster resilience and emergency management programs around the country.
  • Engage with senior executives to design communications products, including presentations and congressional testimony.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with the emergency management sector, participating in engagements with emergency management stakeholders, including state, local, tribal and territorial (SLTT) partners, and other federal agencies.
  • Prior experience designing, implementing and communicating about climate resilience, emergency management or community capacity building programs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior executives, preparing high-visibility communications products like public speeches, all-staff presentations, and industry presentations.
  • Experience developing internal and industry engagements, collaborating regionally and nationally to advance program efficacy.
  • Demonstrated success working in a matrixed organization.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements.
  • Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.

We Offer:

Our benefits typically meet or exceed our competitors’ packages. Ways we are unique?

  • Ability to make an impact on people’s lives, both internal and external to the organization.
  • Top-tier health, dental, vision, and long and short-term disability coverage all covered at 100% for employee coverage.
  • Remote work.
  • Our company culture, which values balance and allows each employee to take leave as they require it to balance the responsibilities of both their work and home lives without worrying about depleting their available leave hours.
  • We provide a floating holiday bank so you can celebrate the days you value.
  • Generous matching retirement contributions and no vesting period starting the third month of employment.
  • Dedicated training and development budgets to expand your expertise and grow your skillset.
  • You can volunteer your way with paid time off.
  • You can participate in Fors Marsh staff-led affinity groups.
  • Our employees receive product and service discounts through the certified B Corp network.
