Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Lead to join our dynamic GeoDin Client Success team at Fugro, a global leader in geospatial data collection, analysis, and management. This strategic position requires a strong foundation in geotechnical engineering, project management, and client relations. This pivotal role involves managing the delivery and ongoing support of GeoDin geo-data solutions, ensuring they meet client needs and business objectives with a focus on client engagement, project management, and technical excellence. The Team Lead will ensure that our geo-data solutions meet high standards and are aligned with both client needs and strategic business goals.

You will be a key representative for GeoDin, our premier geodata management and reporting software, your work will directly contribute to the product's capability to integrate with innovative technologies and third-party applications, enhancing its functionality and market presence. You will work in a dynamic, friendly team of international colleagues with whom you will share innovative ideas to achieve excellence. Being part of Fugro’s Global Strategy team focusing on the Accelerate Business Build strategy for the GeoDin product.

You can perform this role from either the headquarters in Leidschendam or the office in Berlin.

Strategic Team Objectives

  • Accelerate Business Build: Enhance our capacity to rapidly scale business operations, leveraging advanced technologies and innovative processes to meet and exceed market demands efficiently.

  • Expertise Build-Out: Commit to deepening technical and strategic expertise across the organization. We support this with extensive training programs, opportunities for advancement, and a culture that values continuous learning and improvement.

  • Recurring Revenue Model: Strategize and implement a sustainable recurring revenue model through the development of subscription-based services and products, ensuring a steady growth trajectory and financial stability for our business.

Your Responsibilities

  • Solutions Delivery Ownership: Lead the delivery of high-value, funded, turn-key geo-data solutions, ensuring projects align with client requirements and company standards.

  • Alignment with Client Engagement: work closely with the Client Excellence Lead to setup client-specific proposals that can consistently deliver client value.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and prioritize team activities in line with the commercial backlog and strategic objectives, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

  • Thought Leadership: Provide inspiration and progressive thinking to evolve GeoDin for the future, feeding ideas on new functionalities to the Product Owner, providing the Client Engagement team with ideas on potential solution proposals for clients.

  • Paid Client-Specific Training and Configurations: Oversee the setup and deployment of configurations tailored to client needs with minimal to non-existent customization, ensuring smooth and effective implementations.

  • Database Management: Lead the configuration and ongoing management of databases to support scalable and robust data solutions.

  • Development of Data Models and Templates: Spearhead the development of object types, data models, and reporting templates, enabling enhanced data analysis, and reporting capabilities.

  • Occasional Travel: Engage in occasional travel to meet with clients and attend industry events, providing opportunities for professional growth and network expansion.

Your track-record

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field, or relevant experience;

  • 5+ years of experience in project management or client success roles, ideally within the geotechnical or geospatial sectors;

  • Expertise in deploying and managing geospatial and/or geotechnical data solutions;

  • Knowledge of GeoDin or similar applications, considered a strong plus;

  • Proven leadership in managing technical teams and complex projects;

  • Preferably technical proficiency in GIS, database management tools, and CRM systems.
