Job Summary
Tyler Insurance Group is a rapidly growing Medicare FMO based in Lexington, KY. We support brokers across the state of Kentucky and serve clients all across the country. We’re looking for someone to own the client experience and keep our office running while we’re out building relationships. You’ll have real autonomy, real responsibility, and a clear path to grow with us. This role starts part-time and has a direct line to full-time for the right person.Job Description
What This Actually Looks Like
There will be days where you’re the only one in the office. Brokers will stop in. Clients will call. Things will need to get done. We need someone who sees that as an opportunity, not a problem.
Day to day, you’ll be managing calendars and scheduling across 2 to 3 agents, fielding client questions and building your own relationships with the people we serve, greeting and welcoming brokers, agents, and clients who come through the door, coordinating outreach with community partners and carrier reps, planning events, and improving how we do things. If you see something broken, say something. Better yet, fix it.
This isn’t a role where you’ll be taking direction all day. Over time, clients should know your name and trust your voice just as much as ours. That’s the goal.
Who Does Well Here?
The people who thrive in a place like ours are self-starters. You don’t wait for a to-do list. You’re the kind of person who walks into a room and figures out what needs to happen. You’re organized but not rigid. You’re warm with people but sharp with details.
You should be comfortable talking to anyone. A 65-year-old client with questions about their Medicare plan and a 30-year-old broker stopping by to grab supplies should both walk away feeling like they were taken care of.
We move fast. Things change. If you need every task outlined before you start working, this probably isn’t the right fit. But if you like building things from the ground up and want a role where your ideas actually matter, keep reading.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in insurance, healthcare, or any client-facing role
- Interest in getting licensed to sell Medicare (we’ll invest in that for the right person)
- Familiarity with CRM tools
- Comfortable picking up new technology quickly and figuring things out on your own
- Event planning or community outreach experience
The Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 10 AM to 4 PM
- Pay: $20 to $25/hour based on experience
- Growth: Transitions to full-time during AEP (Oct through Dec) with a path to
- year-round for the right person
- Check-in: 90 days in, we sit down together and talk about how things are going, where the role is heading, and what’s next
- Location: In-office, Lexington, KY
- Licensing: For the right person, we’ll support you in getting your insurance license and building a career here
