What you’ll do
You’ll help global clients grow in Japan using LINE Official Account. This is more than running the tool. You’ll learn each client’s global marketing strategy, adapt it to how LINE works in Japan, and own the work from planning through execution and analysis. The role mixes strategy with hands-on delivery.
Responsibilities
- Strategy and proposals: Identify client business challenges and global campaigns, and propose LINE OA strategies for the Japanese market. Plan across the full funnel: gaining friends (followers), message delivery, and CRM (customer relationship management).
- Account design and creative direction: Design Rich Menus, automated responses, and segmented messaging workflows. Adapt global images and videos for Japanese audiences and keep creative quality high.
- Delivery and project management: Build message delivery schedules and oversee execution. Coordinate internal teams and external partners and vendors.
- Reporting and analysis: Track open rate, CTR, and CVR, and produce regular reports. Run continuous improvement cycles and recommend next steps based on the data.
- Client communication: Lead regular meetings and negotiations with global clients in English. Explain Japan-specific LINE features and market behavior clearly so clients understand why the approach differs.
Required Skills
- 3~5+ years of hands-on experience running LINE OA accounts for brands or clients, with measurable results such as friend growth, higher open/click-through rates, or improved conversions.
- Proficiency with LINE Official Account Manager’s core features: segmentation, step messages, Rich Menus, auto-responses, and analytics.
- Business-level fluency in Japanese and English.
- Digital marketing grounding: KPI design, marketing funnels, and the basics of web analytics.
Nice to have
- Account management experience at an agency or in-house at a larger company.
- Business-level Chinese.
Desired Persona
- Take initiative: You often juggle several accounts with shifting priorities. You make decisions and move work forward without waiting for detailed direction.
- Solve problems: You dig into the root of a client’s business challenge and propose practical solutions.
- Take ownership: You’re accountable for your accounts and careful with details such as message timing, segmentation, and creative quality.
- Bridge cultures: You understand business-culture differences, not just language, and build trust between global clients and Japanese teams.
- Users first: Beyond what the client asks for, you design for the best experience for LINE friends receiving the messages.
