Job Summary
Barings is seeking a professional to assist its global client onboarding function. This individual will have responsibility for the firm’s client implementation processes across the business, assuming end- to-end onboarding of new separately managed client accounts and fund onboardings. This person will be responsible for executing the day-to-day processes, liaising directly with clients and internal teams and will help drive enhancements to Barings implementation processes and systems. This position will sit in Charlotte.
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in the end-to-end implementation experience by facilitating post-sale client coverage
- Coordinate internal operational teams and shared services (e.g. compliance, legal, investor services, etc.) to ensure a superior client experience
- Coordinate contract negotiations and investment guideline decisions.
- Working with Barings transfer agents to ensure all AML/KYC processes are followed and clients accounts opened on a timely basis.
- Facilitate the process to prioritize client implementation activities
- Develop enhancements to Barings’ implementation processes to improve efficiency.
- An eventual understanding of the firm’s capabilities, products and services.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of asset management experience
- Experience in client onboarding, project management or a transitions implementation role
- Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work with multiple teams, clients, and investment professionals
- Experience using BPM and/or CRM software a plus
- Outstanding interpersonal characteristics, reputation, and team orientation
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Finance or related field
