Jefferies has been expanding its business in Tokyo, and we are now looking for a dedicated person and detail-oriented Client Onboarding Specialist to join our Japan team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process for our new clients, providing exceptional service and support while fostering long-term relationships. This position requires strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the Japanese market.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Coordinate with sales and account management teams to gather all necessary client information and documentation.
- Conduct thorough reviews of client documents to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Facilitate the client onboarding process by acting as the primary point of contact for new clients.
- Develop and implement onboarding plans tailored to each client's specific needs and requirements, with particular attention to the nuances of the Japanese market.
- Ensure timely completion of all onboarding activities, including account setup, system access, and training, while adhering to Japanese business practices and regulations.
- Conduct name screening and ensure all adverse news has been cleared, documented, and escalated appropriately.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new clients to ensure a positive onboarding experience, emphasizing the importance of trust and reliability, which are highly valued in Japanese business culture.
- Address any client concerns or issues promptly and effectively, escalating to the appropriate teams when necessary.

Qualifications:
