Who You’ll Work With:
The Client Manager (CM) resides within AB’s Institutional Client Service team. This role will play a crucial part in supporting the day-to-day sales and research efforts across Consultant Relations. The CM will partner with Consultant Relations Directors to position AB’s products with the consultant community, seek research meetings, respond to requests, and service/commercialize existing investment ratings alongside sales partners. This role is based in Nashville, TN.
What You’ll Do:
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Supporting Consultant Relations Directors whose objective is to build and deepen relationships with institutional investment consultants.

Delivering high–quality service to institutional investment consultants, responding to requests in a timely and efficient manner.

Gaining a clear understanding of Consultants and their clients’ servicing requirements and acting as a resolution point for outstanding issues.

Conducting thorough meeting preparation: researching consultant firm in advance of each meeting (including use of 3rd party tools such as Preqin, eVestment, Market Lens), producing pre meeting memos, coordinating and participating in prep calls with Portfolio Management teams and other key internal teams, and finalizing meeting materials.

Coordinating all meeting follow-ups; liaising with internal teams (business development, operations, legal & compliance) to ensure consultant needs are met.

Partnering with internal teams to respond to Requests for Proposal/Information, Due Diligence Questionnaires, and Portal requests.

Coordinating/scheduling meetings and conference calls with consultants as needed.

Leveraging the firm’s intellectual capital (white papers, conferences, and webinars) and maintaining marketing interests to proactively distribute collateral as available.

Partnering with client service teams to ensure accurate consultant records are maintained in SalesForce.
What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Marketing, and an excellent academic record.

Track record of outstanding performance and achievement.

2-5 years of experience in the financial services industry.

A results-orientated self-starter who can quickly understand client/consultant needs and focus on commercial delivery.

Good organizational skills, ability to manage own priorities and meet hard deadlines.

Ability to network and develop long-term relationships with clients/consultants and internal partners.

Technical knowledge and/or genuine interest in the Institutional market, asset classes and associated competitive landscape.

A belief that client is first and the ability to influence and lead others to prioritize in that way.

Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Exceptional verbal, written communication, and presentation skills

Fluent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with Salesforce.com, Preqin, and eVestment a plus.
