We are seeking a talented individual to join our Affinity team at Marsh.
This role will be based in Montreal, and it is a hybrid role with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Senior Client Executive, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering superior solutions aimed at supporting retention and revenue growth. You will work closely with the National Leader as well as the business growth leaders.
You will assume full responsibility for the programs assigned to you, including strategic oversight, account retention, and portfolio growth.
Among the Affinity Retail and FPL programs, you will find accounts related to: distribution (wholesale and retail sales), financial advisors, financial institutions, accountants, lawyers, architects, engineers, and pharmacists.
We will count on you to:
- Manage the renewal cycle, including coordination of specialized coverages and placement.
- Participate, as needed, in program promotion.
- Coordinate placement outcomes with the Affinity Operations and Technology teams; participate in the renewal testing phase from a business perspective and approve deployments.
- Provide technical support for accounts related to financial lines and distribution (wholesale and retail sales) during the renewal period and at program anniversaries for your assigned programs.
- Drive retention and growth of assigned programs.
- Collaborate with national growth leaders to prospect and win new programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve coverages to strengthen competitive advantage and/or leverage market conditions.
- Lead product development or enhancement during renewals, and ensure execution using checklists.
- Prepare, in collaboration with the team, the required documentation for new clients or renewals.
- Coordinate initiatives and facilitate strategic solutions for assigned programs with external service providers, as needed.
- Train, mentor, and coach CE/ACE team members on program criteria, in collaboration with the National Leader.
- Advise clients on coverage matters.
- Support claims management as needed; coordinate with the third-party claims administrator (if applicable) and Marsh’s internal claims department.
- Hold engagement meetings with stakeholders and follow up with clients.
- Closely supervise billing and collections for each client.
- Develop working relationships with all internal functions to improve service and increase cross-selling opportunities.
- Engage sector groups and appropriate internal resources at Marsh to deliver the best solutions to each client or prospect.
- Participate in professional development activities and training.
- Adhere to Marsh’s principles of excellence and the “Client First” philosophy.
What you need to have:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial insurance; experience in financial lines is an asset.
- Hold an AMF license.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English, as the position requires regular interaction with clients and other third parties outside of Quebec, as well as collaboration with colleagues outside of Canada
- Demonstrated ability to autonomously manage complex accounts.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurer partners.
- Good understanding of client-specific risk issues.
- Ability to effectively manage renewals and ensure retention.

Skills Required
- 8+ years of commercial insurance experience
- Minimum 3 years in a Client Executive type role managing a book of business
- Applicable Insurance Broker Provincial Licensing
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in insurance or risk consulting
- Insurance-related designations or degrees (preferred)
- Based in Montreal and able to work hybrid with at least three days per week in the office
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and drive growth (preferred)
