Job Summary:
The Client Engineer III is responsible for providing advanced IT support and engineering solutions for end-user computing at our remote sites. They ensure that all client systems are operating efficiently and securely, leveraging expertise in desktop support, application deployment, patch management, and mobile device management.
Essential Functions:
- Provide deskside support to end-users for complex hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
- Manage and resolve incidents and service requests related to end-user computing in a timely manner, utilizing ticketing systems and documentation practices
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and support new technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and adherence to best practices
- Execute regular patch management for operating systems and applications, ensuring systems are up-to-date and compliant with security policies
- Deploy and configure enterprise applications, ensuring that users have the necessary tools for productivity and efficiency
- Implement and manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions to secure and manage mobile devices across the organization
- Assist in the configurations to facilitate secure connectivity for remote users
- Conduct user training sessions and create comprehensive documentation to empower end-users with knowledge about their devices and applications
- Monitor and report on IT asset inventory, ensuring accurate records of hardware and software assets
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with users
- Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and best practices in end-user computing and IT support
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Associates degree is preferred
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience supporting a minimum 500 user computing environment is required
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, remote desktop tools)
- Proficient in troubleshooting complex hardware issues related to PCs, laptops, and peripherals
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management practices
- Knowledge of patch management processes and tools
- Proficient in application deployment and configuration management
- Understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions and best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Licensure and Certification:
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, ITIL) are preferred
Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- May be required to work a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends, and on-call hours
Compensation Range:
$53,400.00 - $85,600.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
