What does a successful Client Development Manager do?
A successful Client Development Manager acts as a strategic partner to our clients, deeply understanding their business goals and translating them into impactful fintech solutions. You will serve as the primary commercial owner for key accounts, orchestrating cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes aligned with the speed of life. You will combine consultative sales, rigorous account planning, and data-driven insights to expand relationships, drive revenue growth, and strengthen client loyalty. You will challenge conventional thinking with integrity, always advocating for win‑win outcomes that build long-term partnerships.
What you will do:
- Lead strategic, senior-level client relationships to drive retention, growth, and satisfaction
- Develop and execute structured account plans informed by client insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence
- Manage the full sales lifecycle, including pipeline development, discovery, solution design, proposals, and commercial negotiations
- Create and deliver client-specific presentations, business cases, and value-realization analyses using quantifiable benefits
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (Product, Delivery, Operations, Legal, Finance, Pricing) to ensure seamless execution and governance
- Conduct regular performance and strategic business reviews, providing data-driven recommendations and action plans
- Identify, prioritize, and progress upsell and cross-sell opportunities aligned to client objectives and measurable outcomes
- Anticipate and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement across client engagements
What you will need to have:
- Demonstrated success in consultative sales and/or strategic account management in complex B2B environments
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills with senior and executive-level audiences
- Ability to translate client needs into commercially viable solutions, roadmaps, and delivery plans
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, including building business cases and evaluating financial impact using quantitative metrics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and modern CRM/sales reporting tools
What would be great to have:
- Knowledge of payments and financial services solutions and platforms from Fiserv or comparable fintech providers
- Experience leading client-facing commercial initiatives from concept through execution in financial services or fintech
