Job PurposeThe Client Consultant supports Jackson's diversification by delivering high-touch service, operational coordination, and consultative guidance to consumers, financial professionals, and internal stakeholders. The Consultant facilitates the purchase and servicing of Jackson's suite of annuity products while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and a superior client experience. The Client Consultant deepens relationships with internal stakeholders, prospective contract holders and their financial professionals (when appropriate) by providing knowledgeable, compliant, and efficient support throughout the sales process.Essential Responsibilities- Works with marketing-sourced and advisor-referred leads to facilitate the sales process for annuity products.
- Educates consumers and referred clients on Jackson’s product offerings, identifies opportunities to integrate annuities into their financial plans, presents best interest product recommendations, and guides prospects through the application process.
- Communicates clearly, professionally, and in a timely manner with clients, financial professionals, and internal partners to ensure a seamless experience.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders across Sales and Operations to ensure completeness and accuracy of application materials and provide an exemplary service experience.
- Partners with external stakeholders to assess prospective clients’ financial goals and circumstances and present appropriate annuity solutions that align with the client’s overall financial strategy.
- Manages opportunities and client documentation within customer relationship management systems; runs illustrations and ensures accurate completion of new business applications.
- Handles trading and portfolio rebalancing and facilitates withdrawals for clients as required by product line and business model.
- Maintains accurate and timely client records, opportunity information, and other documentation in CRM and other systems.
- Supports campaign execution, including consumer registration and orientation meetings.
- Supports business initiatives by contributing to process documentation, promoting continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with all firm and industry regulations.
- Acts as a point of contact for Jackson employees participating in the Employee Purchase Program.
- Provides expertise and acts as a resource to other Jackson teams.
- Assists with onboarding and training of new team members across departments, sharing best practices and supporting a culture of learning and collaboration.
- Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of the insurance industry, particularly annuity products.
- Ability to analyze and compare annuity products.
- Ability to evaluate a client's risk tolerance and make appropriate product recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, explain, and communicate complex financial matters by phone with financial professionals and customers.
- Ability to work as a self-starter within the framework of a team environment.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and economic conditions.
- Knowledge of basic financial planning concepts, especially as it relates to income planning in retirement and taxation of investments.
- Knowledge of basic investment management concepts, especially related to risk management.
- Proven ability to pay attention to detail and multi-task.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 1+ years of experience in client-facing roles in the financial services industry required.
- 2+ years of experience recommending financial products to retail customers preferred.
- Experience using electronic annuity order entry systems preferred.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) required.
- FINRA Series 6 or 7, FINRA Series 63, State Insurance License required.
