Job Responsibilities:
Help Air Liquide find its positioning along different nascent and potentially very fast-growing technologies, which do not make part yet of the Group’s portfolio today (eg: Direct Air Capture, Small Modular Reactors, Solid Oxide Electrolysis,
CO2-to-X pathways), and help Air Liquide evaluate and optimize its current industrial assets from an energy efficiency and reliability standpoint. Explore the technological landscapes, assess relative techno-economics of most promising
solutions, and deliver a compelling business case for the considered novel clean technology within the Air Liquide portfolio when relevant. Assess current and future commercial potential of different novel clean technologies. Review
related literature and patents on a continuous basis. Perform techno-economic, life-cycle analysis and Total Cost of Ownership modeling (incl. sensitivity analysis) for pre-selected processes and deliver an internal technology merit order.
Interact with clean technology providers, technical experts and teams. Collect and analyze data from technology providers. Explore new techno-brick development, alternative marketing approaches and integration possibilities for the
considered clean technology within Air Liquide portfolio. Collaborate with various stakeholders from operations, strategy, regulatory and technical experts teams so as to explore how the considered clean technology could integrate
the Group’s offers and technologies portfolio across business lines. Propose, build and execute modeling and data analytics solutions in support of all the key analysis and simulations delivered in the scope of these explorations (ideally using Python). Design new business models based on the considered clean technology for the Group. Perform market and regulatory watch. Evaluate and summarize on a continuous basis policy trends impacting the considered clean
technology’s industry worldwide. Perform market growth simulations using self-developed tools. Track the state of the market (deals, projects, acquisition, etc.) in a one-stop-shop automated tool. Identify geographies offering the best
business environment for each clean solution considered. Build and develop relationships with the relevant clean technologies’ ecosystem. Meet with miscellaneous start-ups, research institutes, nonprofits, public entities paving the
way of the new cleantech industry (in the US primarily). Attend relevant business platforms and conferences representing the Group interest. Identify the Group’s key customers and partners interest and positioning in the space
of each considered clean technology. Raise awareness within Air Liquide on different clean technologies evaluated and report on progress & project milestones. Organize internal deep-dive workshops and webinars. Support industrial
performance teams in evaluating different pathways to increase reliability and energy efficiency as well as reduce carbon footprint of current primary production assets. Deliver presentations, memos and position papers to top management. Find funding opportunities for clean technologies R&D projects and support proposals. Identify external funding opportunities.
Minimum Education: Master's Degree in Management.
Minimum Experience: 2 years experience in Energy Markets/Systems and Advanced Analytics.
Travel Requirements: 15% of domestic and international travel required.
