Job Description:

The Class Giving Associate is a member of the Class Giving Team, which is charged with raising over $10M from over 15,000 donors per year for Brown from undergraduate alumni through the Brown Annual Fund. The incumbent will assist the team in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Brown Annual Fund prospects and volunteers. The Class Giving Associate works directly with the Director, Class Giving & Initiatives, and two Class Giving Officers, collaborating as necessary with other members of the Annual Giving and Advancement teams. This individual provides direct support to non-reunion volunteer committees, assists in the planning and implementation of Class Giving team events, provides analysis and prepares reporting for Class Giving staff, and manages a small cohort of participation-level volunteers through the annual fundraising process.

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  •  Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field such as fundraising, higher education, nonprofits, sales, customer service, and volunteer management. 

Required Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills; must be a “self-starter” with the ability to work independently and also as a member of a collaborative team.

  • Excellent computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, electronic mail and calendars, and Google suite of products that support high-level fundraising. 

  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must possess creativity, motivation, and superior problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends, as well as travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a higher education or non-profit setting

  • Experience with database tools

  • Experience with audio/visual and presentation platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams or WebEx, PowerPoint, etc.)
