Job DescriptionWe are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Claims & Recoveries Specialist to join our Trade Credit Insurance operations team. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end claims process, ensuring timely and accurate claim assessments, and pursuing recoveries from defaulting buyers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process claims submitted by policyholders in accordance with policy terms.
- Investigate claim validity, including analysis of buyer insolvency, payment default, and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with policyholders, brokers, legal teams, and external recovery agents.
- Initiate and manage recovery actions, including negotiations, litigation, and insolvency proceedings.
- Maintain accurate records of claims and recovery activities in internal systems.
- Provide insights and feedback to underwriting and risk teams based on claims trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in claims handling, debt recovery, or credit insurance.
- Strong understanding of trade credit insurance policies and legal recovery processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with precision.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with international recoveries and cross-border insolvency.
- Familiarity with legal frameworks in key export markets.
