Manage claims pertaining to worker's compensation, short term disability, and FMLA in coordination with internal departments, insurance carriers, and the medical community and ensuring to follow all applicable regulations.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Administer the filing and ongoing maintenance of Worker's Compensation claims for the Oshkosh Corporation location, including facilitation of communication with current and prior insurance adjusting teams, medical community, injured workers, and Oshkosh management. This will also include the coordination of at least 4 claim reviews annually with the insurance carrier
  • Administer the filing and ongoing maintenance of non-work-related short term disability claims for the hourly workforce (Accident & Sickness), including coordination with the Payroll Department as to payment requirements. Communication and coordination must also be maintained with human resources, operations management, the medical community, and the injured employee as to the status and future plan
  • Administer the applicable Family Medical Leave Act activities as they relate to both work-related and non-work-related injury absences from work
  • Maintain OSHA reporting requirements relative to injury reporting, including the OSHA log and related end-of-year summary
  • Publish weekly statistical summaries of claim activity as requested by various levels of management within the organization
  • Facilitate a Return-to-Work program for all injured employees with restrictions that prohibit them from working their regular shift and/or job duties, integrating them back into light or modified-duty transitional jobs in an effort to more quickly get them to full-duty status

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Occupational Health
  • 5-plus years related experience in the insurance or occupational health field

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be knowledgeable with Wisconsin Worker's Compensation laws, FMLA and other applicable employment laws
  • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must possess basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite products

Pay Range:

$64,500.00 - $103,500.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
