The Claims Data Solutions Sr. Analyst will report to VP, Claims Data Solutions and Insights. This is a crucial role to the delivery of claims operational and data transformation solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Bring a distinct data consumer prospective to ensure that business intelligence, operational metrics, modeling, analytics, and reporting requirements are effectively fulfilled. This encompasses a comprehensive understanding of how claims data flow into, within, and outside claims systems, along with the intended use, dependencies, and impacts as well as a strong understanding of business processes and their associations with source system and/or vendor data.
- Identify and propose essential data elements necessary to support the company’s business intelligence, operational metrics, modeling, analytics, and reporting needs and ensure they are captured with precision, completeness, consistency.
- Act as Product Owner to develop meaningful data products for various use cases based on business priorities and anticipated impact.
- Document business requirements and clearly articulate the business benefits.
- Apply analytical techniques to analyze and interpret intricate data sets, extracting meaningful insights that can support informed decision-making processes.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in disciplines such as Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields
- Experience in P&C Insurance industry, Claim experience a plus
- 7+ years’ experience in data analytics and/or business intelligence focusing on driving business decision-making, with a strong track record that demonstrates the ability to implement data-driven solutions and deliver tangible and measurable business impacts.
- Intellectual curiosity and a genuine passion for exploring the potential of data and the strategic insights derived from it. Enthusiasm for delving into data, analyzing it to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tell the data stories to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Working knowledge of agile software development lifecycle
- Proficiency in one of the following: SQL, R or Python
- Working knowledge of QlikSense, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus
- Understanding of basic AI/ML principles
- Thriving in a fast-paced, fluid environment
The pay range for the role is $104,800 to $178,100. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
