The Claims Data Solutions Sr. Analyst will report to VP, Claims Data Solutions and Insights. This is a crucial role to the delivery of claims operational and data transformation solutions. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Bring a distinct data consumer prospective to ensure that business intelligence, operational metrics, modeling, analytics, and reporting requirements are effectively fulfilled. This encompasses a comprehensive understanding of how claims data flow into, within, and outside claims systems, along with the intended use, dependencies, and impacts as well as a strong understanding of business processes and their associations with source system and/or vendor data. 
  • Identify and propose essential data elements necessary to support the company’s business intelligence, operational metrics, modeling, analytics, and reporting needs and ensure they are captured with precision, completeness, consistency. 
  • Act as Product Owner to develop meaningful data products for various use cases based on business priorities and anticipated impact. 
  • Document business requirements and clearly articulate the business benefits.
  • Apply analytical techniques to analyze and interpret intricate data sets, extracting meaningful insights that can support informed decision-making processes.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have: 

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in disciplines such as Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields 
  • Experience in P&C Insurance industry, Claim experience a plus
  • 7+ years’ experience in data analytics and/or business intelligence focusing on driving business decision-making, with a strong track record that demonstrates the ability to implement data-driven solutions and deliver tangible and measurable business impacts. 
  • Intellectual curiosity and a genuine passion for exploring the potential of data and the strategic insights derived from it. Enthusiasm for delving into data, analyzing it to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tell the data stories to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 
  • Working knowledge of agile software development lifecycle  
  • Proficiency in one of the following: SQL, R or Python
  • Working knowledge of QlikSense, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus
  • Understanding of basic AI/ML principles
  • Thriving in a fast-paced, fluid environment

The pay range for the role is $104,800 to $178,100. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
