Job summary:

Acrisure is seeking a Claims Associate to provide administrative and operational support to the claims team in St. Louis, MO. This role supports the processing of insurance claims by reviewing documents for required information, entering and maintaining claim data, preparing correspondence, processing authorized expenses, and helping ensure claim files remain accurate and organized.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building experience within the insurance and claims industry. Previous claims experience is beneficial but not required. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with detailed information, managing multiple priorities, and supporting claims professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Review claim forms, medical records, and other claim-related documents for required information
  • Enter new claim information into the claims management system and maintain accurate existing claim files
  • Prepare letters, forms, and other correspondence on behalf of claims adjusters
  • Scan, organize, and route incoming claim documents and daily mail
  • Process authorized claim-related expenses and payments
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and supporting documentation
  • Handle incoming calls and place outgoing calls as needed to support claim activity
  • Assist claims adjusters and other team members with administrative and clerical support
  • Monitor assigned work for accuracy, completeness, and timely processing
  • Help identify missing information or documentation and coordinate appropriate follow-up
  • Perform additional administrative and claims support duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy when working with claim information and documentation
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to review information, identify missing or incomplete details, and follow established processes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with internal team members and provide professional support when communicating with external contacts
  • Basic computer proficiency required
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook beneficial
  • Previous administrative, clerical, customer service, insurance, or claims support experience beneficial
  • Previous insurance claims experience beneficial but not required
  • Ability to learn claims management systems, processes, and terminology
Education and licenses:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Additional education or training in insurance, business, administration, or a related field beneficial

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
