The Diane M. Halle Library at Endicott College seeks a dedicated and student-focused Circulation Coordinator & Archivist. This role supports the Director and Assistant Director in maintaining and enhancing services and support at the library. Key responsibilities include managing course reserves, supervising work-study students, processing interlibrary loans, collection management, and maintaining the college’s archives. The coordinator will also assist in outreach and programming, contribute to developing new library services, and undertake additional duties as assigned. This position manages the 4:00 pm to 12 midnight shift, Sunday through Thursday. Occasional flexibility in scheduling may be required due to desk coverage and other needs. The Diane M. Halle Library is part of the North of Boston Exchange and uses Evergreen, an integrated library system software. 50% of Time: Circulation Desk Responsibilities
- Train and supervise work-study students
- Work with the library's online integrated system to perform circulation and collection management functions and attend workshops on the system
- Provide and model exemplary patron service
- Coordinate and process course reserves
- Process interlibrary loans
- Assist with Collection Management
25% of Time: Maintaining Archives
- Evaluates campus archival records, objects, photographs, and ephemera to preserve the heritage of the College
- Develops procedures to evaluate and classify appropriate materials
- Manage incoming archival materials requests
- Collects and collates important College documents
25% of Time: Create and Manage Outreach Initiatives
- Managing book displays
- Assisting with outreach initiatives, including collaboration with campus community members
- Developing and supporting programming events
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Supervisory Experience preferred
- Management of archival materials preferred
- MLS/MLIS preferred; will consider library experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Canva and comfortable with learning new technology
- Social Media skills
- Detail-oriented
