Summary:
This position is responsible for Circulation Billing processes for assigned properties (Newspapers) owned by MediaNews Group. This includes home delivery, single copy, commercial delivery and carrier payments.
*Please note: While this role is fully remote you must reside in OH or CO.
What you will do:
Generate billing files for assigned properties ensuring accuracy of data prior to submission
Enter returns and check for accuracy
Process adjustments for carriers and single copy accounts
Ensure carrier pay files are submitted to AP for timely payment
Process subscriber refunds
Work with circ operations and the GL team on resolving discrepancies and providing support
Work with other billing team members to manage the shared email boxes
What you will bring:
Accounting process and controls knowledge
Demonstrated ability to create Excel spreadsheets using formulas as needed
Practical problem solving skills and ability to deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Self-initiative
Associate’s Degree preferred by not required
1-3 years of billing experience preferred but not required
Benefits and Compensation:
The hourly wage is $18.50.
