About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a highly strategic and analytical Senior Lead Analytics Consultant to partner with senior leaders across Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) and Global Payments and Liquidity (GPL) in driving business transformation, performance optimization, and revenue growth initiatives. This role combines the rigor of management consulting with deep analytics expertise to solve complex business challenges and influence enterprise-level decision-making.
The ideal candidate has experience in a leading management consulting firm or investment bank and has demonstrated success delivering strategic recommendations through data-driven analysis. This individual will lead high-impact engagements, develop executive-level insights, and serve as a trusted advisor to CIB leadership.
The role requires strong executive presence, structured problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to convert large and complex datasets into actionable business strategies.
In this role, you will:
Strategic Consulting & Business Advisory
  • Deliver cross LOB initiatives within Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Treasury Services, Payments, Liquidity Management, Commercial Banking, and Capital Markets businesses.
  • Partner with business leaders to define business strategies, evaluate growth opportunities, and address critical business challenges.
  • Apply consulting frameworks and analytical rigor to identify opportunities for revenue growth, expense optimization, client engagement, and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing objective, data-driven recommendations.
Advanced Analytics & Business Insights
  • Deliver and lead analytical workstreams supporting strategic decision-making and business transformation efforts.
  • Develop insights from internal and external data sources to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
  • Design and implement KPI frameworks, scorecards, and performance measurement methodologies.
  • Conduct financial, operational, and customer analytics that influence strategic priorities.
Executive Reporting & Communication
  • Develop executive-ready presentations and reports for senior management, operating committees, and business reviews.
  • Translate sophisticated analytical findings into concise business narratives and actionable recommendations.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Support annual strategic planning, operating reviews, and business performance management processes.
Transformation & Change Leadership
  • Player-coach in cross-functional initiatives from problem identification through solution implementation in cloud and on prem technologies.
  • Drive process improvement, operating model redesign, and analytics modernization initiatives.
  • Establish governance, success metrics, and change management frameworks to ensure sustainable outcomes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate reporting and enhance decision-support capabilities.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong partnerships with Finance, Product, Sales, Technology, Risk, Operations, and Strategy teams.
  • Influence decision-making across multiple levels of leadership.
  • Facilitate workshops, executive working sessions, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Align stakeholders around strategic priorities and measurable outcomes
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience in analytics, strategy, consulting, business intelligence, or performance management, including management consulting experience at a recognized consulting firm or internal strategy/consulting organization.
  • Experience supporting financial services, banking, corporate banking, investment banking, treasury management, payments, or capital markets businesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives with executive-level visibility and deliver enterprise-wide transformation or strategy initiatives.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, with exceptional storytelling, presentation, and executive communication capabilities.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience leveraging analytics, visualization, and advanced analytics capabilities, including Power BI, Tableau, AI/data science, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Fabric, or similar technologies.
