We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead engineering and technological advancements in our waste-to-energy solutions at our new office. The ideal candidate has strong leadership in engineering, expertise in thermodynamics and energy conversion, and a track record in optimizing complex systems. This role requires strategic thinking, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with research institutions and industry partners to drive innovation. Tasks
* Oversee engineering operations, optimizing R&D, design, and technology development processes;
* Develop and implement strategies to enhance technological innovation and cost-effective solutions;
* Lead the engineering team in developing and optimizing waste-to-energy systems;
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and environmental standards;
* Collaborate with design teams using advanced simulation and modeling tools;
* Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, research institutions, and technology partners;
* Supervise budgets, resources, and timelines for engineering projects;
* Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and project management teams to ensure quality and efficiency.
Requirements
* Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Power Engineering (or related fields);
* 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership, preferably in power engineering, mechanical engineering, renewable energy, or industrial plant design;
* Strong background in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and energy conversion processes;
* Expertise in computational modeling and process simulation (e.g., ANSYS, ChemCAD, ASPEN HYSYS);
* Knowledge of materials engineering for high-temperature and corrosive environments;
* Familiarity with international industry standards (ISO, ASME, API, IEC) and environmental regulations;
* Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills;
* Strong communication and negotiation skills;
* Ability to manage international projects and multidisciplinary teams.
