Queens Carbon is building next-generation industrial technology to dramatically reduce CO₂ emissions in the global cement and concrete industry. We are seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to work directly with the founders as we scale from pilot stage to commercial deployment.
This is a high-impact, high-execution role at a well-funded startup backed by leading investors and strategic partners, focused on driving the company’s most important initiatives forward rather than serving primarily in a strategic or advisory position. Key to this role is a focus on fundraising as we scale.
The Chief of Staff will operate as a key partner to the CEO and executive team, helping drive fundraising, commercial partnerships, investor relations, and strategic initiatives as we prepare for our first commercial plant and global expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Fundraising & Investor Relations: Drive and manage fundraising efforts including the upcoming Series A and non-dilutive grants; manage investor communications, materials, and board updates.
- Commercial Partnerships: Build and manage relationships with cement producers, strategic partners, and system customers; advance commercial agreements including LOIs, MOUs, and early offtake partnerships.
- Strategic Execution: Drive execution of the company’s most important initiatives by coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners to keep key projects moving forward.
- Market & Industry Intelligence: Track developments across the cement, climate tech, and policy landscape and synthesize insights for leadership and investors.
- Systems & Operations: Maintain and optimize CRM and partnership pipelines and implement AI-enabled tools to improve company operations and business development.
- Financial Modeling & Materials: Work with Finance to develop projections, business models, and fundraising materials.
- Marketing & Talent: Support industry presence through conferences, publications, and digital content, and assist with recruiting as the company scales.
- 3+ years post-MBA (or equivalent advanced degree) experience, or 7+ years professional experience
- Proven track record in fundraising, including meaningful experience working with VCs, CVCs, grant-making organizations and family offices.
- Track record of taking full ownership of initiatives and driving outcomes independently. Startup or small company experience with increasing responsibility required.
- Demonstrated high initiative, urgency, and ownership mentality
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical ability
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Seeking a fast-paced startup environment (50-60 hrs/week)
- Strong interest in industrial decarbonization, climate tech, and/orenergy transition
- Technical background in engineering, science, or industrial sectors is very helpful but not required.
