🔭 What you will work on
  1. Company building

    • Support the leadership team in crafting and continuously communicating the company strategy, translating it into our weekly priorities and rituals.

    • Set up company-wide KPI systems and cadence to keep the team accountable for weekly progress.

    • Help us formalise our “Operating Model”: Decision-making principles, collaboration rituals, and key behaviors we want to cultivate and promote.

    • Craft and implement our first performance, career progression and compensation frameworks.

    • Build Root Global into a leading employer brand to attract and retain top talent.

  2. Business Operations

    • Lead our talent acquisition and people ops functions and set up a reliable, repeatable system that works without you.

    • Own our financial model: budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring financial stability.

    • Manage financial operations incl. payments, invoicing, payroll and internal reporting.

    • Prepare monthly board updates and investor reports to keep stakeholders aligned and engaged.

    • Act with a full sense of accountability for “all other topics” that need to get done but there is no one dedicated in the company to execute on them.

  • You will be part of the extended leadership team and report directly to our founders, Maurice and Eric.

  • Julian Collin, was the first chief of staff at Trade Republic and built up the Company Operating Model hand in hand with the founder and CEO. He now is responsible for the entire growth side of the business, valued at >€5bn.

  • Alexander Argyros, built several companies from the ground up, including Moonfare where he led >200 people.

  • David Lagarde, started as intern at Hive where he worked his way up to COO, building up and managing the operations side of the business.

🚀  You might be really good at this if
  • You worked on the Jobs-To-Be-Done described above and made your fair share of mistakes.

  • You worked in and grew tech companies from ~30-200 people in a position close to the founders: chief of staff/ CEO office, operations, business development, etc.

  • You have exceptional analytical skills and the respective toolkit to put it into action.

  • You have the ability to use precise and accurate language to express ideas, avoiding vague or ambiguous terms.

  • You can win the trust and influence people that are not your direct reports.

  • You are highly reliable and can organise your work really well.

  • You are looking to found your own company over the next 3-5 years.
