About the Role
As the Chief of Staff, you will be a central figure in driving the strategic and operational agenda of Charlie Health. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will partner closely with the executive team to ensure teams are pursuing initiatives that are aligned with our strategic goals and mission. Your role will encompass goal setting, KPI tracking, project management, staff management, and executive communication. You will be instrumental in translating our vision into actionable plans and ensuring their successful execution across the organization. In this role, you will help shape the company's priorities, manage the operating cadence of executive meetings, and serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the CEO. Your ability to distill information into clear, actionable insights and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels will contribute to our company’s success. Successful former Chiefs of Staff at Charlie Health have gone on to lead meaningful parts of the organization.

Responsibilities
CEO Support:
- Assist the CEO in managing direct reports by attending 1:1s executive team meetings, setting/prioritizing agendas, and setting and managing project timelines and deliverables
- Augment CEO in external meetings by preparing strategic rationale for the meeting, meeting goals, and stakeholder context. Join meetings to take notes, track follow-ups and next steps. Leverage her EA to help prepare for meetings.
- Serve as a sounding board and thought partner to the CEO across all topics related to the company, from day-to-day management to meeting structure to strategic vision
- Represent the CEO in key meetings with external partners or internal executives. You will need to learn her voice and command authority yourself as her proxy
KPI Tracking:
- Monitor trends in core business metrics, and address inflections with the CEO and relevant business owners
- Work with Biz Ops to continuously improve company reporting based on learnings, strategic priority shifts, and business changes
Goal Setting:
- Company-Level: Collaborate with the executive team to set company-wide annual and quarterly goals
- Maintain ROI-driven company roadmap with key initiatives, responsible teams, timelines, and expected P&L impact
- Work directly with co-founders in codifying the strategic vision of the company, ensuring vision is effectively communicated to stakeholders across the company for execution
- Hold all executives responsible for being consistent. Roadmaps, goals, and projections should align across the enterprise and various teams. You will unify all of these teams
- Team-Level: Lead team-level quarterly goal setting process, partnering with team leads to set goals that are tied to core business metrics and align with company objectives
Board Updates / Investor Communications:
- Lead agenda setting for quarterly board meetings and project manage follow-ups from each board meeting. Partner with Strategic Finance in the execution of board materials
- Own material creation for CEO-led sections of the board materials, and ensure CEO is appropriately prepared for board and investor meetings
Executive & Management Team Meetings:
- Manage agendas, objectives and operating cadence of executive team meetings, partnering with CEO to ensure the right topics are surfaced and effectively discussed. Coordinate materials for meetings and manage follow-up on action items.
- Actively participate in executive meetings to present ideas, debate other’s ideas, and hold people accountable. You should know more than everyone else about multiple multi-team projects and your advice and insights are necessary for successful decision making and management
- Own monthly management team meetings with team leaders across the company, setting the agenda, preparing templates for content, and leading the live discussion
Special Projects / Initiatives:
- Periodically lead one-off projects on key strategic topics as they emerge, collaborating with stakeholders cross-functionally to ensure deliverables are produced effectively and efficiently
Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience, with a minimum of 2 years in Investment Banking, Private Equity or Management Consulting
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Multi-tasking is a must
- High EQ; excellent oral and written communication skills with strong executive presence
- Ability to interact collaboratively with and influence stakeholders at all levels with confidence and clarity
- Skilled in distilling information into clear, actionable insights for different audiences
- Strong understanding of P&L and ROI-driven decision-making
- Willingness to tackle a wide range of tasks and challenges, providing support wherever needed and demonstrating flexibility in addressing diverse needs across the organization
- NYC office based and excited to be in the NYC office 4+ days / week. Must be willing to travel to Nashville 40% of the time

The target cash compensation for this role will be between $250,000 and $325,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by experience, expertise, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Further, cash compensation is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may include stock options and other Charlie Health-sponsored benefits.
