Hanwha Aerospace's International Engine Business is headquartered in Hartford County, CT and has operations in the USA, Vietnam and South Korea. As part of Hanwha Aerospace, the largest aerospace and defense company in South Korea, the International Engine Business team delivers to OEM and Tier 1 customers the most complex machined, fabricated and assembled product and modules for use in engine and other aerospace applications.
Overview:
As the Project Manager / Chief of Staff, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business plan and assisting in its execution. Specifically, you will support financial planning and development of business systems for lease and MRO operations.
Additionally, you will work closely to develop financial support for leasing and operational businesses, including repairs, engine MRO, parts trading, and asset management. Your role will be instrumental in shaping our financial strategies and ensuring their successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities:• Collaborate closely with senior executives and the Hanwha Aerospace USA (HAU) Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to drive the business plan and support its execution.• Lead a portfolio of projects to help drive productivity, on time delivery and profitability for the business.• Provide thought leadership to assist with various initiatives to improve financial performance• Lead and motivate high-performing teams, ensuring they excel against challenging goals• Accelerate large strategic initiatives, implement organizational transformations, and enhance organizational effectiveness and efficiency through technology and data analytics strategy and operations• Provide key leadership in operational strategy, customer and supply chain management, and stakeholder alignment
Qualifications:• An experienced business professional with at least 10 years of diverse industry experience• Proven expertise in one or more of the following areas: strategic planning, information technology, project management, data analytics, consulting, change management, logistics, operations, finance, procurement, quality and administration• Strong track record in project management, data analytics, and operations preferred• Recognized for building and motivating high-performing teams that consistently exceed performance targets• Previous experience in the aerospace industry is required
Education:• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business-related field• Masters degree in business, project management, engineering, or data analytics preferred.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 20 lbs.
Working Conditions:
Project Manager / Chief of Staff may be required to follow other job-related instructions, to attend job-related seminars and courses, training sessions and meetings beyond normal working hours and to perform other job- related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
Work Authorization:
The ideal candidate for this role will have authorization to work in the US prior to joining Hanwha Aerospace USA Inc. This role will not sponsor or offer assistance with the sponsorship for work authorization in the United States.
