Position Overview

The Chief of Staff (CoS) to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a pivotal role responsible for driving the vision of the CTO, ensuring alignment across teams, and managing day-to-day activities to prevent bottlenecks. The CoS will play a key role in executing the technology strategy, fostering collaboration, and maintaining organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Support:
    • Assist the CTO in developing and executing the technology strategy.
    • Ensure the strategy and roadmap are well-documented, accessible, and actionable.
    • Gather feedback from stakeholders to refine the strategy.
    • Act as a trusted delegate for the CTO, empowered to make strategic decisions.
  2. Operational Leadership:
    • Manage the technology budget, aligning it with the company's strategic goals.
    • Oversee vendor management, ensuring compliance with security standards.
    • Prioritize and allocate resources across projects to ensure successful execution.
  3. Team Coordination:
    • Align various teams and departments, driving consensus and ensuring common objectives.
    • Facilitate communication between the CTO and other stakeholders.
    • Monitor and adjust project priorities based on changing business needs.
  4. Project Management:
    • Oversee major projects, ensuring they stay on track and meet deadlines.
    • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Lead cross-stream projects and programs, ensuring seamless integration.
  5. Communication and Liaison:
    • Act as a bridge between the CTO and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.
    • Represent the CTO's perspective and priorities across the organization.
    • Draft and refine documents that articulate the technology strategy and roadmap.

  • Financial Services Background: Proven experience in financial services. Knowledge of asset-backed finance is a plus.


Base Salary Range

$200,000-$300,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
