The Opportunity

Qurate Retail Group is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and energetic leader to serve as the Chief of Staff (CoS) to the CEO. This is a position of trust— working with the executive leadership team, board members and extended teams to advance business outcomes and change.

The Chief of Staff is a high-visibility strategic partner and thought leader that leads the coordination and alignment of company-wide initiatives and streamlining high-importance projects and executive-level decision-making. This role serves as an advisor, communicator, integrator, and collaborator in driving the business priorities and any transformation agenda. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strategic influence, and mastery of communication at the executive level.

The candidate should have a proven track record and strong skills in business operations, communications, customer and partner engagement, and internal stakeholder management. Former Vice President & Chief of Staff, Krystyna Taheri, has moved into a Vice President, Growth & Commerce Operations role. The Chief of Staff role is a pivotal member of the team who should expect and aspire to a similar trajectory into a leadership role in other areas of the business.

Your Impact

  • Partner with the executive team in prioritizing the company’s strategic agenda, specifically assisting the leadership team in aligning company-wide goals and tracking accountabilities (scorecards) and ensuring transparent cascades to the organization.
  • Facilitate optimized ways of working for the executive and extended leadership teams, include owning and advancing the agenda and tracking deliverables as well as thorough and timely planning and preparation of key internal and external milestones for our leadership teams.
  • Develop and influence predictable, published business rhythms and cadences to help the company deliver against its priorities (this can include executive and extended LT meetings, all hands, business and functional reviews and CEO connections).
  • Lead or coordinate prioritized cross functional projects or operational processes on behalf of the CEO; assemble cross functional teams to drive transformational outcomes. Examples include Transformation PMO, outsourcing efforts, strategic reviews, etc.
  • Promote the CEO agenda and accountabilities to ensure execution on high priority strategies and activities.
  • Develop a center of excellence around the Chief of Staff function, ensuring cross functional alignment with administrative groups, functional areas, strategy and transformation teams.
  • Influence and track all communication and follow ups to the Board of Directors, including quarterly board meetings and Board committee deliverables.

What You Bring

  • 8 years of experience in business management / operations or adjacent experiences in management, finance, consulting, or strategic planning.
  • Experience operating in both entrepreneurial and corporate environments preferred.
  • Facile internal and external stakeholder management.
  • Experience solving complex problems and taking initiatives on solutions within large and complex organizations.
  • Reputable and effective influencer, notably at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong track record driving operational execution and/ or putting operational disciplines in place.
  • Project management excellence focused on delivering results.
  • Portfolio management & prioritization, working across projects and juggling ever-changing agendas.
  • Analytical rigor and natural attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication, modulating for audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred.
