Position Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting, and strategic planning activities for a mid-size ($100M annual revenue) U.S. technology and government contracting subsidiary of global organization based in Germany. This role ensures financial integrity, supports contract compliance, drives operational efficiency, and aligns U.S. financial performance with the parent company’s reporting standards and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial leadership and strategic guidance to the CEO and President.

• Lead annual budgeting, long-range planning, forecasting, and financial modeling.

• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax, payroll, AR/AP, and project accounting.

• Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

• Coordinate reporting to German parent company and support IFRS-based group consolidation.

• Support proposal pricing and contract financial review.

• Maintain strong internal controls, risk management processes, and corporate governance. 

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.

• Develop and maintain the company’s banking, bonding, and insurance relationships.

• Serve as liaison between U.S. operations and global finance leadership.

• Lead and develop finance, accounting, purchase and logistics teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

• 12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.

• Experience in government contracting.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.

• Experience working within an international corporate structure.

• Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, CMA, or MBA.

• Experience with IFRS reporting.

• Experience with ERP systems.

• Experience in a $100M–$200M revenue organization.
