This position leads mechanical design and engineering for Fluidized bed boiler systems (main fuel bio-mass and waste fuel) in localization projects, focusing on pressure parts, components, and overall boiler plant layout. It ensures compliance with international codes while adapting designs for Asian markets.
To spearhead mechanical design for fluidized bed boilers, including pressure vessels, non-pressure parts and layout optimization for efficient localization. The role involves code calculations, material selection, and trade-off analysis with due consideration on “cost of design” to support project delivery.
To succeed this role, you will need
Lead mechanical design of boiler pressure parts (drums, headers, superheaters, economizers) and non-pressure components (ducts) using ASME and IBR codes.
Perform pressure part code calculations and fatigue assessments for compliance and safety.
Material Selection for boiler pressure/non-pressure parts, considering corrosion, weldability, and localization feasibility.
Develop boiler plant layouts -both 2D , 3D models (co-ordination with inhouse designers), provide inputs to structural steel designs.
Conduct trade-off analysis for design options, optimizing cost, performance, and manufacturability in Asian contexts.
Prepare technical specifications, support TBE for suppliers related with boiler components
Provide inputs for erection, commissioning troubleshooting, and sub-supplier cooperation in localization
Qualification: B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical) from reputed university. ME/M.Tech degree is added advantage.
Experience : Min 10 years (relevant to Boiler pressure part , Layout)
Thorough knowledge of ASME Sections, IBR for boiler components; familiarity with NFPA, EN standards.(basic level)
Expertise in materials for pressure/non-pressure parts, boiler layouts, and pressure part calculations.
Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, 3D modeling), MS Office; knowledge of relevant commercial design software advantageous.
Business fluent in English
Ready to travel to customers/suppliers/technology units.ence:
