Chief Accountant

Job Description

Ubisoft Danang is seeking a skilled Chief Accountant to join our Finance and Operations team. Reporting to the Finance and Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, fixed assets, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and reporting, providing actionable insights for decision-making.
• Manage tax compliance, ensuring adherence to local tax regulations and timely submission of required documentation.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration with the head office on internal control requirements, consolidation, treasury, and accounting matters.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
• Support external and internal audit processes, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
• Provide accounting guidance and support to other departments.
• Develop and implement robust accounting policies and procedures aligned group and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/ BS in Business Administration or Accounting Required. CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of related experience. Accounting and financial reporting experience required.
• Outstanding technical accounting (IFRS a plus), research and reporting skills.
• Strong quantitative analysis capabilities, with the ability to read, analyze, interpret and explain complex financial data.
• Strong and broad understanding of business processes and all areas of accounting.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and good oral/written Vietnamese and English communication skills.
• Self-motivated and result oriented.
