This isn’t “fetch coffee and file tickets.” As an intern at Spartan, you’ll work on real projects — whether that’s backend services, frontend apps, AI workflows, or DevOps — and learn directly from engineers who’ve scaled companies to IPO.
You’ll also get a front-row seat to the future of AI: 70% of our portfolio today is LLM-powered. Our engineers leverage the latest tools like Cursor, Claude, and Codex to accelerate development and integrate AI-native workflows into everything we build.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to real production projects for US-based startups.
- Learn and build in one or more areas:
- Backend (APIs, databases, cloud infra, distributed systems)
- Frontend (React, TypeScript, Next.js, UI/UX)
- AI/LLM (RAG pipelines, vector DBs, evals, guardrails)
- DevOps/Infra (CI/CD, Kubernetes, observability)
- Ship features end-to-end with mentorship from senior Spartan engineers.
- Participate in our proven process: async standups, PRDs/RFCs, code reviews, testing.
- Experiment with AI-native tooling (Cursor, Claude, Codex) to boost your workflow.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong English communication — you’ll collaborate directly with US-based teams.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) OR recent graduate.
- Solid foundation in at least one area: algorithms, data structures, databases, or web dev.
- Familiarity with modern programming languages (TypeScript, Python, Go, Java/Kotlin, etc.).
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn fast — a builder’s mindset.
