Carleton Hatcheries (Sunrise Hatcheries) is a division of Sunrise Farms, one of the largest chicken processors in Canada, with facilities in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. Our team of employees are experienced, dedicated, and exceptional at delivering quality products from farm to table.
Role:
A Chicken Catchers' role is to work as part of a team to guide chickens into a loading area and load them into crates. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and be physically capable of repetitive heavy lifting of approx. 40 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Set up equipment for safe operations
- Guide chickens into loading area in humane manner
- Loading of poultry into holding crates on to transport truck
- Work as a team to handle chickens without startling or angering birds
- Manual collection of chickens
Requirements
- Able to lift up to 40lbs
- Comfortable working with livestock
Working Conditions
- Transportation from your home, to and from the job site.
