Prerequisites:
The Check Loadmaster must have at least ten years of experience in aviation and at least five years as an Instructor. They must be a current Loadmaster and be current on all Kalitta Air aircraft training, and in Dangerous Goods and Ground Security.
Essential Duties and Responsibility:
- The Check Loadmaster reports to the Manager of Cargo Services, and performs all of the specific job duties of the Loadmaster/Station Representative. Additional essential functions and responsibilities include:
- Conducts Loadmaster/Station Representative classroom (ground school) and field training, including initial and recurrent training;
- Maintains training records and forward copies of required documents to the Manager of Training and Standards;
- Conducts initial, recurrent, and periodic Loadmaster/Station Representative performance and skills evaluations;
- Trains other Kalitta Air personnel, third-party ground handlers, and vendors on any applicable Company policies and procedures, including aircraft load planning, servicing, and handling;
- Conducts line station, sub-service customer, and third-party ground handler training to ensure operations are conducted safely, securely, efficiently, and cost-effective in accordance with Company policies and procedures and applicable government regulations.
- Performs other duties as directed by the Manager, Cargo Services or Chief Loadmaster, or designated Supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS & REQUIRMENTS:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- All shifts on a rotating basis. Loadmaster’s work in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold, as well as rain, and snow.
- Ability to push, pull and lift 50 lbs. on a repeated basis.
- Ability to pass a 10-year criminal background check as well as a DoD background check.
- Ability to obtain a US passport and travel as needed to delegated assignments.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
