The Position

This senior leadership role is accountable for driving enterprise-wide commercial success and market leadership for the entire Roche Diagnostics Division by ensuring focus and alignment across all customer areas and affiliates to maximise impact. The core focus is on driving strategy, planning, and prioritization of business and commercialisation across the entire Diagnostics product portfolio incl. pricing governance. As a member of the Global Marketing Leadership Team this role is a leading figure for the success of the future Marketing model. This position is a key interface for Division Leadership Team (DLT), Country GMs and Customer Area (CA) Heads contributing to the success of the Diagnostics Division by ensuring all resources are utilized to maximize P&L impact and value creation. 

  

Key Responsibilities
  • Define Marketing Strategy & Commercial Priorities: Define and own the multi-year Global Marketing Strategy and rolling Marketing Plan, establishing the priorities for growth, profitability, and market category creation across the entire Diagnostics portfolio. This role will closely interact with DLT particularly Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS), Roche Information Solutions (RIS) and Regional Heads, CA Heads, Sub-Regional Heads and Country GMs. Furthermore this role will drive e2e collaboration across Global Marketing in collaboration with regions and affiliates.

  • Ultimate Financial Stewardship & Investment Governance: Own and manage the centralized Global Marketing Investment Budget. You will lead the investment governance model, making high-stakes, cross-opportunity trade-off decisions to ensure capital is strategically allocated to the highest-return campaigns and market development initiatives. In addition you are accountable to ensure alignment across BAs and Regions. 

  • Leadership: You will be responsible for leading the Strategic Marketing team, ensure that personal professional development is a priority, design and promote development journeys and act as an active coach and mentor to members of the Chapter as well as the entire Marketing function to help them grow and develop in their career

  • Global Pricing Governance: Drive global pricing management together with the Global Market Access Pricing Team, CAs/SPCs, Lifecycle Teams (LCTs) and define global involvement for price setting of differentiating products 

  • Major Launch Strategy & Deployment: Direct and coordinate the Marketing capacity planning and strategic sequencing for all major global product launches 

  • Innovation & Portfolio Decisions: Influence prioritization in Lifecycle teams (LCTs) and Strategic Portfolio Committee (SPCs) by validating commercial viability and market readiness of new products and solutions, and applying a cross-Customer Area lens

  • Executive Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the primary executive interface and trusted advisor to DLT particularly RDS, RIS and Regional Heads, CA Heads, Sub-Regional Heads, Country GMs and the Head of Marketing. In addition you will ensure unified strategic alignment across Communications, Medical Affairs, and Market Access to present a seamless "One Roche" commercial mandate globally

Who you are
  • A visionary and seasoned executive with 15+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in strategic marketing, portfolio management, and commercial execution within the Diagnostics industry and Digital Health

  • Proven record of P&L accountability and successfully managing significant global budgets, driving complex organizational prioritization, and delivering measurable commercial growth in a matrixed environment

  • Exceptional political acumen and presence required to negotiate, influence, and build consensus at the most senior levels, bridging the strategic gap between R&D/Innovation/LCT and Global Commercial execution at global as well as affiliate level

  • Successful track record of country leadership experience as well as Global leadership experience
