The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Change Partner Lead. This person will know the business processes, and is a self-starter, and strong communicator. This position involves preparing, supporting, and equipping people to adopt and use changes to business processes, systems and technology

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in San Antonio, TX

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Participates in or leads a cross-functional team of Change Management and readiness resources to understand, plan, lead and sustain change and ensure client success. Guides work performed by Change Management and partner resources assigned to a specific change effort.
  • Partners with Change Management team to understand a change initiative, identify integration points and impacted audiences and assess the impact of the change.
  • Spearheads work to inspire change management strategy to include sustainment plan. Consults on implementation of change plan and adjusts for resistance and acceptance of change.
  • May develop change strategy and conduct change impact and readiness assessment to identify key changes or readiness gaps that will affect the organization; develop and implement change management activities to support the transition.
  • Coaches and influences executive business owners to lead change in a highly matrixed organization. May mentor more junior change partners.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, supervised, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 6 years of directly related experience such as organizational change management, communication, organizational development, marketing, human resources and/or project delivery and accountability for tasks and/or projects; 2 years must include change management experience; OR if Advanced Degree, 4 years of related experience, as previously referenced and 2 years must include change management experience.
  • Solid working knowledge of project management and/or change management function/field and proven application of knowledge, skills and abilities towards work products.
  • Experience partnering for client's success, organizational savvy and politics and applying emotional intelligence, organizational savvy and politics, overcoming resistance to change, and mentor/influencing leaders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to include ability to develop communications materials for multiple audiences.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies delivery and principles.
  • Solid understanding of risk and regulatory requirements.

What sets you apart:

  • Six plus years of strategic and execution level change management experience
  • Six plus years communicating with senior and executive level management
  • Detailed knowledge of change management procedures and policies
  • Certifications and Designations in the change management space. (SAFe, Six Sigma, ProSci or other process and change certifications)
  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner

What we offer:

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $99,160 - $189,530.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
