About this opportunity
- Experienced Change and Deployment Manager to govern and coordinate network changes across Core, RAN, Transmission and other network domains.
- Role combining change & deployment management to govern network changes process and ensure successful execution of activities during maintenance windows in a rotational working model.
- Use Ericsson CS/PS Core Network background to coordinate changes across domains so they are assessed, approved, implemented, monitored and verified with minimal risk and service impact.
What you will do
- Govern Core Network change requests from assessment and scheduling through approval, implementation, verification and closure.
- Review proposed changes, including scope, affected nodes and services, risk and impact, method of procedure, rollback plan, checks and expected KPI and alarm impact.
- Manage and coordinate maintenance windows covering CS, PS, IMS/VoLTE, signaling and virtualized Core Network elements.
- Coordinate execution with operations centers, engineering, project teams, implementation teams, vendors and customer stakeholders.
- Follow implementation progress and decide on continuation, rollback, escalation or maintenance-window extension when needed.
- Ensure active monitoring of Core alarms, signaling, service KPIs and traffic behavior throughout implementation and verification.
- Support troubleshooting of unexpected service degradation or network impact using strong Core Network knowledge.
- Review failed or rolled-back activities, lead or coordinate post-implementation reviews and identify preventive and improvement actions.
- Prepare maintenance-window reports covering successful, failed, rolled-back, delayed, extended and service-impacting activities.
- Attend daily sync meetings and present maintenance-window performance, major technical observations, incidents, pending actions and upcoming risks.
- Drive improvement in change success rate, first-time-right implementation and reduction of change-related incidents.
You will bring
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in Telecom Core Network operations, including hands-on Ericsson CS/PS troubleshooting experience.
- Strong hands-on O&M and troubleshooting experience across CS and/or PS Core Networks.
- Strong experience with Ericsson Voice Core nodes such as MSC, MGW, STP, UDC, APG, and related platforms.
- Hands-on second-level operational/troubleshooting experience in Packet Core, including MME, SGSN, GGSN and PGW.
- In-depth understanding of CS Core, IMS and VoLTE call flows.
- Clear understanding of 2G/3G/4G Core Network architecture, signaling flows, interfaces, and service dependencies.
- Strong knowledge of Core protocols including SIP, H.248, SS7, ISUP, BICC, SIGTRAN, INAP, CAP, TCAP, MAP, SCCP and Diameter.
- Ability to analyze network impact using alarms, signaling traces, logs, KPIs and traffic behavior.
- Good understanding of Virtualization, Cloud NFVI and NFVO; experience with virtualized/cloud-native Core environments is highly preferred.
- Experience with Change Management, maintenance-window coordination, risk assessment, rollback management, CAB and PIR.
- Previous experience in NOC, Managed Services or multi-vendor Telecom Operations is highly preferred.
- Good understanding of ITIL and eTOM frameworks, with knowledge of Ericsson Operations Engine (EOE) processes and ways of working is preferred.
