THE PORTFOLIO IN SCOPE
Located in the Champagne & Cognac brand group, the position is dedicated to Champagne & Cognac Brands specifically Perrier-Jouet, G.H. Mumm, RSRV and Martell.
Job Purpose >
• Become the representative of Champagne Brands portfolio in Japan and build awareness, engagement & advocacy for the brands among trade & consumers, supporting brand activation & bringing business impact, particularly in Night Clubs and High Energy Bar (HEB) but includes other channels (e.g. restaurants).
The roles:
• Contribute to drive distribution of Champagne, especially for G.H. Mumm by showcasing portfolio with their story and making of the brands internally and externally.
• Drive brand visibility and activation at key Night Clubs and HEB outlets with close collaboration with sales team.
• Proactively grab opportunities of brand seminars and tasting events (online & offline) to showcase the brands to various audiences (Consumers, Shoppers, trade customers & press).
• Research what the competitors are doing and feed insights to marketing team on markets and customers.
Principal Responsibilities >
1. Drive Brand Visibility and Activation in ON-trade, higher focus on Night Club and HEB
• Plan and implement consumer events for G.H.Mumm (Mumm Night Activation, “Mumm Nights”) in key targeted Night Clubs & HEB.
• Build strong relationship with trade customers for business acceleration.
• Support and activate with events such as music festivals when it is necessary for strengthen the business.
• Identify key accounts and pre-align with MOT Activation Team (MA team * MOT: Modern On-trade) for consistency.
• Make regular bar calls to such key accounts to strengthen brands’ Visibility and initiate Brand Activation, intending to drive advocacy and to bring business impact, through building tight relationship with the accounts.
• Upon request form Sales team (especially MA team), accompany them for meetings and bar calls to give idea of Visibility and Activation.
• Keep update on the latest POS list and availability with close working with Marketing Manager & Trade Marketing Team to utilize those to strengthen Visibility at key outlets.
2. Brand Education
• Undertake comprehensive training and maintain ongoing close connection with Brand Owners to stay on top of global strategy and activations (best practices) of each brand.
• Lead activations both for trades and consumers with tastings, seminars, hosting activities and helping with events.
3. Business Performance Monitoring
• Monitor activity performance/learnings and provide report on monthly basis.
Job Requirement
Academic Requirement:
A degree at a bachelor’s level/Graduate of wine course (preferred)
Professional Experience Required:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Sales & Marketing or hospitality industry

• Experience in the Japanese (alcohol or bar) market is a plus
• Interest in Night Club, HEB, Champagne, Food is a plus
Language:
Fluent Japanese at the level to communicate trade, deliver compelling brand seminar + handle Q&A sessions smoothly / English at business level
