Job Description Summary
The Country CFO for Novartis Israel serves as the strategic financial leader and business partner to the Country President and the leadership team of the unit. This role is accountable for driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and enabling sustainable growth across commercial operations in Israel.
Job Description
Location: Tel Aviv, Israel; #LI-Hybrid (12 days/month in office)
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead financial planning, reporting and analysis activities for Israel.
• Provide financial insights and scenario modeling to support unit’s strategic decision making
• Lead the distribution and commercial function acting as point of reference for the relation with key distributors.
• Ensure compliance with Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM), internal controls, and local regulatory requirements.
• Partner with key functions to maintain highest compliance standards in all relevant local operations, in line with internal and external codes & regulations
• Implement and monitor credit risk management frameworks in line with global policies, partnering efficiently with relevant local & global stakeholders
• Oversee the financial operation of Israel
• Collaborate with commercial teams to drive superior brand performance and portfolio optimization.
• Provide financial guidance on pricing, market access, supply chain, trade and other organizational decisions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance/distribution team. Drive talent reviews, succession planning, and capability building within the finance function.
Essential Requirements:
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
• Proven track record in financial planning, governance, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Fluent in English, Israeli would be an advantage.
