The Role
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under supervision, manages execution and timely completion of basic non-certification engineering projects such as Corrections, Transfers and File Reinstatements by analyzing project scope and determining project specifications. Assist Engineering with product safety projects involving certification by uploading all administrative tasks in FLEX and preparing reports for clients. The Certification Support Services Specialist may exercise Project Handler Signature Authority as the Project Handler of record responsible for opening, maintaining, completing, and closing assigned new work engineering projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Project Management: Lead the execution and timely completion of non-certification engineering projects, including Corrections, Transfers, and File Reinstatements. Analyze project scope and specifications to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Client Communication: Engage with internal and external customers to clarify project scope, address technical issues, and resolve client concerns. Your ability to communicate effectively will be key to exceeding expectations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize various systems and tools such as FLEX, ECM, Workbench, PCD, IFVS, Willow, Blue Box Publisher, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Stay updated with new systems and tools as needed.
  • Administrative Coordination: Manage administrative aspects of project management and serve as the Project Handler for non-certification requests. Keep clients informed of project status and results through regular updates and reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: Integrate continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of your work to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain key customer relationships and handle special requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Adhere to the UL Solutions Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least one year of directly related experience.
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of UL objectives, structure, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office programs and basic computer skills.
