The Role

Inside the Role

The CEO of Daimler Truck North America, is seeking a highly capable, organized, flexible, and motivated individual for the CEO Support Manager position. The role of the CEO Support Manager is to act as a strategic partner, lead key initiatives, anticipate and resolve issues, serve as a confidant, and assist with the day-to-day operations of the organization.

What you Drive at DTNA

  • Lead, support and implement the CEO’s vision and strategy.

  • Organize all OpCom meetings. Prioritize and schedule topics; work with senior management cross functionally on preparation; communicate expectations.

  • Manage CEO interfacing functions (ex: Communications, HR) for concise and aligned communication to the CEO.

  • Prepare speeches and presentations for the President and CEO in collaboration with internal and external business partners.

  • Lead strategic projects independently on behalf of the CEO.

  • Organize and execute the annual DTNA Leadership conference, including development vision, design and event management.

  • Team lead for OpCom Support Managers. Collaborate and align on OpCom functions, deliverables, challenges and opportunities.

  • Manage multiple cost centers and ensure smart spending.

  • Work alongside CEO EA to provide daily support on CEO activities and prioritization.

  • Establish a network and cooperate with counterparts both within the company and externally.

  • Understand the different cultures and perspectives at all levels of the organization both domestically and internationally.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Familiarity with DTNA corporate processes and Daimler Truck and Bus organization.

  • Previous experience leading projects.

  • Strong leadership and exceptional communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and possess strong analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Able to travel internationally and domestically up to 33%.

  • Emotional Intelligence and Situational Leadership Style.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Solid understanding of the heavy-duty truck market.

  • Experience leading intercultural and cross-functional teams.

  • Hold a valid existing Visa (L1A, L1B, L2, TN, H1B, H4 EAD, OPT EAD, CPT)
  • Daimler Truck North America employees working under an existing U.S. Daimler Truck North America Visa
  • Those eligible for a TN Visa (Canadian or Mexican National working in an Engineering, Accounting or Scientific Technologist capacity with an aligning degree)
  • Those eligible for an L-1 (inter-company) Daimler Truck visa under the Corporate Blanket L-1 program would require at least one-year of qualifying experience in the last three years
