Central Tax Processors provides critical tax administrative services to the firm’s Tax Department.  This includes, and is not limited to, tax return processing, letters, reports and other client deliverables.  This position will require the ability to understand and follow the firm standards and policies on security, privacy and other compliance issues.  High organizational, communication, attention to detail, technical/process skills and the ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment while focusing on quality, accuracy and timing is also required.

Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Process business and individual tax returns/forms which may include assembly and binding, utilizing firm determined processes and procedures and firm tracking systems to ensure all data is entered, correct and up-to-date.
  • Effectively managing requests by securing all necessary details, paying close attention to deadlines/due dates, assessing return/form requirements and communicating with staff to manage expectations.
  • Produce, format, and edit pdf files, letters, reports and other documents in Adobe, Microsoft and other firm applications.
  • Ensuring quality work product through effective execution of established processes and procedures; reviewing work product for quality, accuracy, and alignment with staff request to deliver complete and accurate .pdf files to assemblers and tax staff.
  • Adding value through critical thinking and anticipating needs to support quality deliverables and for effective management of critical time-periods and high work volume.
  • Research and develop an understanding in the organization of all appropriate federal, state, and local tax returns/forms.
  • Managing and fostering relationships with the central processing team and staff, to ensure appropriate planning for incoming work; integration of new team members and initiatives.
  • Effectively communicating with team members and supervisor/manager in day-to-day operations to ensure staff demands are addressed and fulfilled.
  • Support various special projects from start to finish upon request and perform other duties as assigned.

The qualifications.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends during peak tax periods
  • High numerical reasoning ability
  • Strong proofreading and attention to detail
  • Sharp oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn various other programs and applications as necessary and/or required
  • High energy level with excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, professional presence and exceptional customer service

Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO, IL, or MA. Please review the position location for the applicable geographic location. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range for their position, as compensation decisions are determined through a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer market-based starting salaries that are consistent across individuals within the same hiring group. This approach ensures fairness and reflects current industry benchmarks for entry-level talent.

The compensation range for this role in IL, MA or CO is: $21.53 - $32.29
