Everest Insurance, the primary insurance division of Everest Group, Ltd., is looking for you to step into the role of Regional Executive for the Central region. As a critical member of the North American leadership team, you’ll help lead our journey to become the most admired insurance company in the world—transforming risk into opportunity.

In this role, you’ll partner with Underwriting and Functional leaders to drive financial performance and execute our business strategy across the region. You’ll be responsible for profitability, strategic direction, and the hiring, development, and retention of top talent. Your ability to collaborate, influence, and lead people will be key to your success.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the North American Leadership Team, you’ll bring strength across five key dimensions:

Strategic Oversight & Leadership

  • Take ownership of the strategic direction, performance, and execution within the region.

  • Partner with Underwriting and Functional leaders to drive results.

  • Oversee all Everest offices in the region, coordinating workforce planning, strategy, and expansion to ensure a consistent and positive experience for colleagues.

  • Lead efforts to get closer to our customers.

  • Align, empower, and influence others through ideas, encouragement, and insight.

  • Ensure customer retention and satisfaction by fostering collaboration across business segments for cross-selling and service excellence.

Financial Execution

  • Execute the financial plan successfully, adapting strategies to meet market changes.

  • Preserve and improve profitability through product development, pricing discipline, competitive analysis, and performance metrics.

  • Ensure business resiliency across all regional offices.

Market Presence & Distribution Strategy

  • Lead the Regional Sales & Distribution team.

  • Represent Everest Insurance at broker and client industry events.

  • Deepen existing and build new trading relationships alongside line underwriters.

  • Collaborate across product divisions to deliver a One Everest client-centric approach.

  • Identify opportunities to expand Everest’s product offerings and drive cross-sell execution.

  • Provide insurance solutions and risk management support for clients’ most complex challenges.

  • Develop a business and marketing plan to build brand and product awareness.

  • Coordinate business development and annual planning activities.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Work with Everest Insurance leadership to shape and achieve strategic goals for growth, market share, and long-term sustainability.

  • Promote “OneEverest” by collaborating across business units, regions, and functions.

  • Ensure Everest Insurance products and services are highly sought after.

  • Cultivate strong broker partnerships and represent the region externally.

  • Collaborate with Distribution, Product Management, Strategy, Claims, Operations, and other functions to optimize results.

  • Identify, recruit, retain, and develop top talent with strong succession planning.

Your Skills & Abilities

  • 20+ years of industry experience.

  • Strong, respected reputation in the region.

  • Proven leadership and management experience.

  • Based in a hub city of the region (e.g., NY, Atlanta, California).

  • Skilled at managing by influence.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change.

  • Financial acumen, including P&L experience.

  • Executive presence and strategic thinking.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong broker/client network.

  • High emotional intelligence (EQ).

  • Highly collaborative across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Adaptable, solutions-driven, and decisive.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and respect for diverse perspectives.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop talent.

  • Able to work a hybrid schedule with at least 3 days per week in the Chicago office.

The base salary range for this position is $344,000 - $435,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
