Upway is looking for a Central Operations manager for the US market. This is a role for someone who combines strong problem solving skills with operational discipline, and who can bring structure, clarity, and consistency to complex, fast growing environments.
The Central Operations Manager is involved in all facets of the operations (logistics, customer support, sourcing, variable costs and new services such as subscriptions, maintenance plans and ancillaries) for the US market.
They will work closely with the Central Operations Team, Sourcing team, UpCenter Operations team (particularly the UpCenter leads of New York and Los Angeles) and product team to identify, implement, and monitor operational improvements across the business.
What you will do
Key responsibilities
- Own key parts of Upway US Operations value chain.
- Manage, run and scale new services such as Subscriptions, Non-electric bikes and Ancillary revenues.
- Collaborate with external partners & clients to develop the above mentioned services.
- Design, implement and improve processes to optimize customer experience and financial efficiency.
- Ensure we deliver on our high quality standards, and analyze customer/partner feedback to keep raising the bar.
- Work closely with the New York and Los Angeles UpCenter Operations team, as well as other internal stakeholders such as the Sourcing Team and the Product team.
What you will need
Skills, knowledge & expertise
- Strong academic background in engineering, finance, business or similar
- 1-3 years of experience in Operations, Finance, Consulting or equivalent
- Fluency in English
- Strong communication and operational skills
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail, root cause analysis, and data interpretation
- Deeply customer-centric, always striving to enhance the Upway experience
- Comfort with working autonomously in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Energized by change and dynamic work setting
